H illsbobo , Or., July 22.—All ot the right of way for the Portland, Nehalem & Tillamook Railway hag been procar cd as far as Banks, and Chief Engineer Geo. L. Davis reports that the contract <>r clearing the right of way has l>een let to H. H. Clark ar.d James Wilson of Forest Grove. Contracts for bridge timlters for the two largest bridges on the line have been let to Carstens Bros & Hartley, Manning, W. H. Lyda, Greenville, and Thompson Bros , of Mountaindale, as w II as contracts for ties for fi-st few miles. Chief Davis, this morning receiv e I word from the Atlas Contract & Supply Company, of San Francisco, that arrangements have been made for the rails for the lost ten miles of road, and it is expected that track-laving will be gin by September 1. A portion of the grading has been let to subcontractors, and Mr. Davis states that the entire line will be let by the end of next week. Grading will begin on the Hillsboro end next week.
